Home is where the herd is

We started our herd in April, 2018 with four Jersey calves from Astoria, Oregon. They came from a grazing dairy that sought out New Zealand and A2A2 genetics. Plus, Virginia worked on that farm helping raise calves, and so we knew they were coming from a great place. Here is a YouTube video of picking them up: Our Long Journey to Getting Dairy Calves.

The new milk cows quickly adapted to the Surge parlor

Calves are raised with their cows. We all seem happier this way.
